Justin Robinson's work experience began in 2005 at Costco Wholesale, where they worked in Member Service, Marketing, and Refunds until 2010. In 2009, they also had a role as an Environmental Co-op Student and Assistant Risk Management Officer at the Department of National Defence.
In 2011, Robinson started working at Selkirk College as a GIS Developer and Researcher, focusing on migrating web mapping projects and working with various clients. Justin eventually transitioned to the role of Instructor, teaching GIS courses and providing technical support to staff and students. Justin also acted as an IT liaison and conducted workshops on QGIS.
Currently, Robinson is working at Sparkgeo as a Developer, starting in 2022.
Justin Robinson completed their education history as follows: From 2007 to 2010, they attended Camosun College and obtained a diploma in Environmental Technology. Then, from 2010 to 2011, they returned to Selkirk College to pursue a degree in Geographic Information Systems, earning an ADGIS (Advanced Diploma in Geographic Information Systems). Finally, from 2014 to 2015, they continued their studies at Selkirk College, where they completed a Bachelor's Degree in Geographic Information Systems.
