Lauren Yee has a diverse range of work experience in data science, teaching, consulting, and geographic information systems. Lauren Yee has a strong educational background in the field of science and geography. Lauren obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS Honours) degree in Earth and Environmental Science with a thesis from the University of Windsor, which they attended from 2009 to 2013. Following that, they pursued a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Geography with a concentration in Environmental Science from Wilfrid Laurier University and the University of Waterloo, completing their studies from 2014 to 2018.

In addition to their academic achievements, Lauren Yee has also obtained several certifications in various fields. Lauren became an Elastic Search Engineer through Elastic in September 2021. Lauren completed the "From Reports to Insights with SQL Course," "Fundamentals of SQL I Course," "Fundamentals of SQL II Course," "SQL Fundamentals Path," and "PYTHON FOR DATA SCIENCE: FUNDAMENTALS" through Dataquest.io in May 2021. Lauren Yee also possesses certifications in "Improving Deep Neural Networks: Hyperparameter Tuning, Regularization and Optimization" and "Neural Networks and Deep Learning" from Coursera; however, the specific dates of completion are not available.
