Paul Mertz has extensive work experience in the field of marketing. Paul started their career as an intern at Newberry Public Relations & Marketing, Inc. in June 2003. After that, they worked as a Project Manager at The Mertz Company, Inc. from June 2004 to July 2016. In August 2016, they completed an apprenticeship at teamDigital Promotions. Later that year, they took up the role of Marketing Manager at The Ridgefield Playhouse and Director of Digital & Social Media at SRD Legal Group, where they worked from December 2016 to February 2022. Currently, they are employed as the Marketing Manager at Sparks and is slated to assume the position of Director of Digital Marketing in January 2023.
Paul Mertz completed their Bachelor of Science (BS) in Finance & Marketing from Roger Williams University between 1999 and 2003. In 2016, they attended General Assembly, where they participated in various courses, including Digital Marketing Circuit, UX Design Circuit, Social Media Bootcamp, and Adobe InDesign Bootcamp. Later in the same year, they enrolled in Codecademy for Full Stack Web Development. Additionally, Paul has obtained several certifications, including Executive Presence and Influence: Persuasive Leadership Development from Wharton Executive Education (expected in 2023), Content Marketing from HubSpot Academy (obtained in 2022), and Digital Marketing from General Assembly (obtained in 2016). Paul is also SEO Certified by HubSpot (obtained in April 2022), and has completed User Experience courses at General Assembly.
