Yulia Chaikin, PhD, PMP has a diverse work experience in the medical device industry. Yulia started their career in 2006 as a Research Assistant at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. In 2007, they joined the Weizmann Institute of Science as a Research Student, where they worked on the synthesis of metal nanoparticles and their assembly on solid supports for their dissertation. From 2009 to 2014, they worked as a Teaching Instructor at the Davidson Institute of Science Education, Weizmann Institute of Science and as a Research Scientist (Materials Chemistry) at Gauzy LTD. In 2015, they joined CartiHeal as a Lead Scientist/Clinical Research Associate, where they were responsible for clinical trials, product development and manufacturing, and QA/RA. In 2017, they moved to Alentic Microscience Inc. as a Senior Project Manager, where they provided project planning and management for established initiatives, defined clear deliverables, roles, and responsibilities for team members, and worked with senior management to keep projects on schedule and budget. Currently, they are the Head of QA/RA at Sparrow Acoustics, where they are responsible for managing the quality system development, implementation, and maintenance and coordinating all company's regulatory activities.
Yulia Chaikin holds a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Nanoscience, Materials and Interfaces from the Weizmann Institute of Science, which they received in 2014. Yulia also holds a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Nanotechnology, Materials Science from the same institution, which they received in 2010. Her undergraduate degree is a B.Sc. in Chemistry from The Hebrew University of Jerusalem, which they obtained in 2007. In 2016, they obtained a CRA - Monitoring and Coordinating Clinical Trials certification from Bioforum the Data Masters. In March 2020, they obtained a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute.
