Jesse Shaw D.O, CAQSM, USAW has a diverse work experience in the field of sports medicine and research. Currently, Jesse works as a Team Physician for USA Water Polo. Prior to this, Jesse served as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Neurology and Primary Care Sports Medicine at Oregon Health & Science University. In this role, Jesse conducted human movement research in concussion diagnostics and treatment while also providing medical education and care. Jesse has also held positions as the Director of Clinical Research at Sparta Science and as an Associate Professor of Sports Medicine/Performance at the University of Western States. Additionally, Jesse has worked as a Team Physician for various organizations including Maccabi USA, USA Boxing, Inc., USA Track & Field, and USA Wrestling. Jesse also gained experience as a Team Physician for sports teams such as the Great Falls Voyagers and the University of Providence. Throughout Jesse's career, there has been a focus on providing comprehensive care in sports medicine, utilizing diagnostic and therapeutic ultrasound, and incorporating nutrition and strength and conditioning programming.

Jesse Shaw, D.O., CAQSM, USAW, has a diverse and extensive education history. Jesse Shaw obtained their Bachelor's degree in Biology with a secondary emphasis in Psychology from Juniata College in 2007. Following this, they attended Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine from 2007 to 2011, where they earned their Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.) degree in Medicine.

After completing their medical degree, Jesse Shaw pursued further specialization in various fields. From 2011 to 2012, they completed a transitional internship at Naval Medical Center Portsmouth. In 2013, they obtained a certification in Undersea & Hyperbaric Medical Officer, specializing in Undersea (Dive, ionizing radiation, and submarine medicine) and Hyperbaric Medicine from the Naval Undersea Medical Institute. Furthermore, in 2013, they also completed training in Diving Medicine at the Naval Diving and Salvage Training Center.

In 2015, Jesse Shaw received further certification in Submarine Medicine from the Naval Undersea Medical Institute. Jesse Shaw then undertook a Family Medicine Residency Program at St Petersburg General Hospital from 2016 to 2018. In 2018, they completed a Fellowship in Primary Care Sports Medicine at Auburn University. Later, they attended New York University from 2021 to 2022, where they pursued a Postgraduate Degree in Sports Management.

In addition to their education, Jesse Shaw also holds several certifications. Jesse Shaw is certified in Advanced Cardiac Life Support by the American Heart Association since May 2021. Jesse Shaw has also obtained the Certification of Added Qualifications for Sports Medicine from the American Osteopathic Association in July 2023. Furthermore, they hold certifications in Level 1 Sport Performance Coach from USA Weightlifting, Immediate Care in Rugby Level 2 from World Rugby, and Family Medicine and OMT Board Certified from the American Osteopathic Board of Family Physicians. Additionally, they are a certified Rescue Diver by IANTD.
