Fotis Kalantzis

Dr. Fotis Kalantzis has been a co-founder of several public companies and has over 25 years of experience in oil and gas exploration and development in senior technical and leadership positions. Dr. Kalantzis was Senior Vice President, Exploration of Spartan Energy Corp., and Vice President, Exploration of Spartan Oil Corp. and of Spartan Exploration Ltd. Prior thereto, Dr. Kalantzis was the Exploration Manager at Innova Exploration Ltd. He also held technical positions at Petro-Canada, Saudi Aramco, Suncor Energy, Wascana Energy, Home Oil and Mobil Oil in connection with oil and gas exploration and development in Canada and internationally. Dr. Kalantzis holds a B.Sc. in Physics and a Diploma in Environmental Physics from Aristotle University, an M.Sc. in Physics from the University of Saskatchewan, and a Ph.D. in Geophysics with a thesis in "Imaging of Reflection Seismic and Radar Wavefields: Monitoring of Steam Heated Oil Reservoirs and Characterization of Nuclear Waste Repositories” from the University of Alberta.
