Balaji Chandran has extensive work experience in the field of IT applications and architecture, primarily focusing on supply chain and logistics. Balaji has held various roles in different companies over the years. From 1998 to 2001, they worked as a Software Engineer at Computer Enterprises Inc, followed by a brief stint as a Consultant at Oneil Inc and Stanley Furniture in 1999. In 2001, they joined Nash Finch Company as a Senior Analyst & Application Programmer until 2002. Balaji then returned to Computer Enterprises Inc as a Software Engineer until 2001. From 2003 to 2007, they held multiple roles at Nash Finch Company, including Team Lead, Staff Specialist, and Manager Wholesale Systems. In 2007, they joined G&K Services as a SAP WM Functional Lead, where they were involved in various SAP implementation and release upgrade projects. In 2008, they rejoined Nash Finch Company as an Application Architect and served as a subject matter expert for logistics and supply chain initiatives until 2013. Since 2013, they have been with SpartanNash, initially as a Director of Application Architecture and currently as a Sr. Director of Applications Architecture and Supply Chain Business Partner, leading a team of application architects and collaborating with data, technology, and security architects.

Balaji Chandran completed their Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Bharathiar University between 1992 and 1995. Balaji then pursued an MBA in Systems and Finance from Anna University from 1995 to 1997.
