Kristen Porter

Kristen Porter, CCEP, serves as the Senior Director, Assistant General Counsel, and Compliance Officer at SpartanNash since April 2022. Previously, Kristen held the role of General Counsel and Corporate Compliance Officer at GHSP from November 2018 to April 2022, and served as Senior Counsel at Gentex Corporation from August 2005 to November 2018. Kristen’s expertise includes drafting and negotiating a wide range of commercial contracts, providing legal counsel on corporate compliance matters, and overseeing legal reviews. Kristen has also managed trademark filings internationally and trained over 200 employees in contract formation. Prior to these positions, Kristen built a comprehensive career in legal roles at Chicago Title Insurance Company, Edina Realty, National American University, National Arbitration Forum, and as a Research Assistant at William Mitchell College of Law. Kristen obtained a Juris Doctorate from Mitchell Hamline School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts in Linguistics from Western Washington University.
