Michael White

Senior Scientist of Antibody Discovery at Sparx Therapeutics

Michael White has been working in the field of science since 2015. Michael began their career as a Postdoc at the University of Chicago and then moved to Texas A&M University where they were also a Postdoc. In this role, they were responsible for developing projects to research cellular proliferation, cellular differentiation, and cellular migration in the context of fibrosing and neutrophil-related diseases. Michael also purified and identified galectin-3 binding protein (G3BP), secreted by cancer cells. In 2022, they joined SPARX Therapeutics as a Senior Scientist of Antibody Discovery.

Michael White received their Bachelor's Degree in Biology and minor in English from Oberlin College between 2003 and 2007. Michael then attended Texas A&M University from 2009 to 2015 and received their Doctor of Philosophy - PhD in Biology and Immunology. Prior to that, they attended St. Ignatius College Prep from 1999 to 2003. Additionally, they obtained a Biosafety level 2 certification from the University of Chicago in October 2015.
