Javier Castillo has a diverse range of work experience, starting in 2004. Javier first worked as an IT Support specialist at Interbank, where they managed production environments, mail systems, and database servers. Javier then joined Telmex as a Web Developer, where they developed and architect web projects using the Struts framework.

In 2006, Javier worked briefly as an Instructor at Global Business Solutions Perú before becoming a Professor Assistant at Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú. Javier taught the Advanced Topics of Software Engineering course and prepared laboratories on web technologies.

Javier joined Antartec S.A.C. in 2005 as a Software Director, where they managed technology projects, provided consulting on software development and continuous integration, and designed business intelligence solutions.

In 2007, Javier started working as a Contractor - Software Engineer at K12, participating in various web projects related to education. Javier contributed to the development of the CALMS system and the LMS, as well as several modules.

Javier also had experience as a Professor at Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú, where they taught the Advanced Topics of Software Engineering 2 course and focused on the topic of Software Architecture.

From 2010 to 2014, Javier worked as a Senior Technical Lead at NorthSouth Studios, leading a team of engineers and implementing the Scrum methodology for multiple projects with the K12 client. Javier received recognition for the team's work. At the same company, they also held the role of Senior Software Engineer from 2007 to 2009, working on Java projects with a geographically distributed team and collaborating with the client's engineers in the United States.

Most recently, Javier has been the Chief Technology Officer at SparxWorks since 2019. Javier is responsible for defining and improving software development processes and technologies, leading web service development, and managing client projects.

Javier Castillo pursued their education from 1999 to 2004 at Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú, where they earned a degree in Software Engineering.
