Ugo Scaiella has a diverse work experience spanning multiple roles and industries. Ugo began their career as a Backoffice operator and Software Developer at Acamtel in 2003. Ugo then worked as a Software Developer at Exenianet (now Yooplus Srl) in 2006 and as a Software Developer at Inera srl from 2007 to 2008.
In 2010, Ugo joined Caribel programmazione srl as a Consultant, and in 2011, they worked as a Researcher at Telecom Italia. Later in 2011, they joined ION Trading as a Software Developer, where they specialized in connectivity area development.
Ugo also worked as a Researcher at Università di Pisa from 2011 to 2011, conducting research in algorithms, data structures, information retrieval, machine learning, text mining, search engines, and big data. During this time, they also served as a Teaching Assistant for undergraduate and graduate courses at the Computer Science Department.
From 2012 to 2013, Ugo worked as a Consultant at Consorzio QUINN, where they contributed to an innovative research project focused on information retrieval and text mining tools.
In 2013, Ugo joined SpazioDati srl, initially as a Developer Team Lead, responsible for leading the R&D unit and designing the Dandelion API. Ugo later transitioned to the role of Software Development Manager, where they were responsible for managing projects, coordinating IT teams, and presenting results to clients. Ugo also played a key role in defining strategies and priorities for the company.
Throughout their career, Ugo has demonstrated expertise in various technologies and domains such as text analytics, machine learning, information retrieval, and software development. Their work has been published in prestigious conferences and journals, and they have a strong track record of citations.
Ugo Scaiella obtained their Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from the Università di Pisa, where they studied from 2003 to 2006. Ugo continued their education at the same university and completed their Master's degree, also in Computer Science, from 2006 to 2009.
