Xue Jiang

Xue(Zoe) Jiang is a Senior Research Scientist at Spear Bio since March 2023, focusing on developing new workflows with automated systems. Previously, Xue was a Mechanical Engineering Fellow at Open Avenues, leading micro-internship projects from March 2023 to September 2024. Xue's extensive research experience includes a postdoctoral role at Rice University, where expertise was applied in developing wearable devices for infectious disease detection and conducting IRB-approved research involving interstitial fluid extraction. Xue also served as a Graduate Research Assistant at Michigan State University, working on microneedle-based skin patches for disease detection and optimizing immunoassay designs. Xue holds a Ph.D. and a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering and Computational Mathematics, both from Michigan State University.
