Richard Brackett

Richard Brackett is a seasoned professional in the field of cybersecurity, currently serving as a Senior DFIR Consultant at SpearTip since March 2024, where responsibilities include guiding Zurich customers through cybersecurity incidents. Prior to this role, Richard spent over 13 years at Secureworks, holding various positions including Senior Manager of Incident Response and Incident Response Triage Advisor, leading teams across multiple time zones and managing incident intake processes. Richard also has experience as a Solution Architect and Principal Managing Consultant, focusing on IT security assessments. Richard co-founded Security Volition, Inc. in 2002, providing consulting primarily to the banking and healthcare sectors, and served as CTO at DSM.net from 1990 to 2002. Education was pursued at Polk State College between 1995 and 1996.
