Taylor Combs has a diverse work experience in the health and wellness field. They most recently worked as the Director of Health and Wellness at Special Olympics Illinois starting in October 2022. Prior to that, Taylor was a Wellness Coordinator at Aegis Therapies from November 2021 to October 2022. Taylor Combs earned a Bachelor's degree in Social Work from the University of Missouri-Saint Louis, completing their studies from 2013 to 2017. Following their undergraduate education, they pursued a Graduate Certificate in Public Health at the University of Missouri-Columbia, which they completed in 2019. From 2020 to 2021, they attended Northwest Missouri State University, where they obtained a Master of Science degree in Therapeutic Recreation/Recreational Therapy.

Special Olympics is financially sound with diverse revenue streams, a thorough annual budget process and increasing organizational revenue streams. Special Olympics Illinois does not charge athletes or their families to participate in the program. OUR MISSION Provide year-round sports training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for children and adults with intellectual disabilities, giving them continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy and participate in a sharing of gifts, skills and friendship with their families, other Special Olympics athletes and the community.
