Edwin R. Pacheco

Edwin Pacheco is an accomplished leader with extensive experience in executive roles within educational and nonprofit organizations. Currently serving as President and CEO of Special Olympics Rhode Island since May 2022, Pacheco has previously held positions such as Interim Executive Director of External Affairs and Communications at Rhode Island College, Executive Director of the Rhode Island College Foundation, and Interim Vice President of College Advancement & External Relations at Rhode Island College. Additionally, Pacheco served as Executive Director for Education in Action and Chair of the Rhode Island Democratic Party. Pacheco's political experience includes serving as a State Representative for the State of Rhode Island. Educational credentials include a Bachelor's degree in Political Science and Government from the University of Rhode Island.
