Kelly Pond

Kelly Pond has a strong background in nonprofit organizations, particularly in the field of development and communications. Kelly has held various roles at Special Olympics Southern California, including Chief Operating Officer, Executive Vice President of Development & Communications, and Vice President of Development. Kelly also has experience in corporate partnerships and event marketing. Most recently, they served as Senior Executive Director at City of Hope, focusing on donor experience and leadership deployment. In 2023, they will assume the role of Chief Executive Officer at Special Olympics Southern California.

Kelly Pond started their education at El Camino College from 1995 to 1997, where they obtained an Associate of Arts degree. Kelly then attended California State University, Fullerton from 1997 to 1999, earning a Bachelor's degree in Communications/Public Relations. In addition to their degrees, Kelly Pond has obtained several certifications. In 2017, they obtained a certification from California State University, Long Beach. In 2016, they achieved a certification from Special Olympics, and in 2015, they obtained a certification from Southern California Leadership Network.
