Kari Saylor

Kari Saylor, CPA, has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. KARI currently holds the position of Director of Treasury & Risk at SPI - Specialty Products & Insulation since August 2022. Prior to this, they worked as the Director of Accounting at the same company from August 2021 to August 2022.

Before joining SPI, Kari served as the Chairman of the Board at Shining Hope Farms since June 2011. KARI was responsible for overseeing the board's activities and providing strategic guidance.

From June 2020 to July 2021, Kari worked as a CPA at The Siegfried Group. In this role, they project-managed accounting aspects of a trial balance migration for US & UK entities of a Fortune 300 company. KARI also conducted tests of internal controls for various business cycles and information systems.

Additionally, Kari spent some time working at BDO Kendalls as a CPA, Assurance Senior Associate from June 2010 to October 2010. During this period, they completed a performance improvement project for a government-owned entity.

Earlier in their career, Kari gained experience as a Procurement/Internal Audit Intern at Gordon Food Service, where they performed audits and managed vendor relationships. KARI also worked as a Customer Service Representative at Macatawa Bank and as a Tax Intern at DeBoer Baumann & Company.

Kari Saylor, CPA obtained a Masters of Science degree in Accounting from Grand Valley State University in 2004-2005. Prior to that, they earned a BBA degree in Accounting from the same university in 2000-2004. In addition to their academic achievements, Kari has obtained several certifications over the years. These include becoming a Certified Public Accountant in January 2008 from the North Carolina State Board of Certified Public Accountant Examiners. KARI has also completed the Fascinate Certified Advisor program from Fascinate Inc. in August 2014. Furthermore, Kari has attained the certification of Certified John C. Maxwell Coach, Teacher, Trainer, and Speaker from The John Maxwell Team in August 2016. KARI further expanded their skill set by acquiring an Instructional Design Certificate from the Association for Talent Development (ATD) in June 2020. Their most recent certification is the Heartcore Leadership Graduate (Transformational Leadership) from Heartcore Business in September 2021.
