Bill Moir has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and companies. Bill started their career at Comet Group plc, where they held positions such as Marketing Manager, Category Buyer, and Trading Director. During their time at Comet Group plc, they led various teams and was responsible for areas such as marketing, merchandising, buying/sourcing, and supply chain.

Bill then went on to establish their own consulting company, Moir Consulting Ltd, where they worked with brands like Google and Dell, focusing on retail, e-commerce, and technology. In this role, they specialized in go-to-market strategies, marketing propositions, and multichannel solutions.

Following their consulting work, they joined Coles as Head of Marketing - Grocery, where they worked on defining and delivering customer strategies and launching major campaigns and supplier launches across various marketing channels. Bill later became the Head of Marketing Grocery & Catalogues and then the Head of Category Marketing and Trade Planning, where they led teams responsible for defining customer strategies and planning major campaigns and value launches.

Currently, Bill Moir is the Managing Director / Executive VP Canada at Specsavers. Bill'srole involves leading the launch of Specsavers into Canada and aiming to become the market leader in optics by opening 200 stores by 2024. Bill was previously the Global eCommerce and Digital Director at Specsavers, where they were responsible for developing eCommerce capability and digital strategy across all regions.

Bill Moir attended Stewart's Melville College in Edinburgh from 1975 to 1987. Bill then went on to study at the University of Strathclyde from 1987 to 1991, where they earned a 2.1 BA (hons) degree in Business, with a focus on Marketing and Management Science.
