Marc Lomax has more than 40 years of work experience in various roles and industries. Marc started their career in 1974 as an Aircraft Mechanic and Pilot at Air US/Ft. Collins Air Park, where they completed aircraft maintenance and set up a FAA approved repair facility. From 1979 to 1982, they worked as the Parts and Service Manager at Boyd Distributing, where they managed inventory levels and scheduled shop maintenance.
Marc then transitioned into the IT field, starting as a Systems Admin at StorageTek from 1982 to 2005. Here, they provided technical support for international users and completed successful application upgrades. Marc continued working in a similar role as a Systems Analyst at STK from 1984 to 2005.
In 2005, Marc joined Sun Microsystems as a Systems Administrator and supported the Servigistics application, performing tasks such as data integrity research, application testing, and maintaining user access. Additionally, they worked at Hospice of Saint John from 2009 to 2010, providing IT and customer support, including virus removal and OS reinstallation.
Marc then worked at SAIC from 2011 to 2012 as a Customer Service representative, providing help desk support for Windows and ICE applications for ICE and Homeland Security personnel. Currently, they are working at Spectra Logic since 2012 as a Technical Support role.
Marc Lomax attended Western Colorado University from 1972 to 1973, where they studied Business Administration for two years. Following this, in 1974, they briefly enrolled at Colorado Aero Tech, where they pursued a degree in Aircraft Mechanic with a focus on A&P Mechanics and a Pilots license.
