Paul McDermott, CPA, MBA

Paul McDermott, CPA, MBA has a diverse work experience spanning over 16 years. Paul most recently served as the Controller at Spectra Medical Devices, LLC starting from March 2023. Prior to that, they worked as the VP of Finance at EB Metal US from December 2021 to March 2023.

From July 2021 to December 2021, Paul was the Vice President of Finance, Business, and Corporate Strategy at Infraredx, a Nipro Company. Before that, they held multiple roles at the same company, including Corporate Controller from May 2018 to July 2021, Assistant Controller from May 2017 to May 2018, and Accounting Manager from August 2016 to May 2017.

Paul also served as a Finance Committee Member at Tewksbury Finance Committee from June 2014 to June 2018.

Prior to their role at Infraredx, they worked at MFA - Moody, Famiglietti & Andronico as a Senior Audit Manager from June 2016 to August 2016, Audit Manager from June 2014 to June 2016, Senior Auditor from July 2011 to June 2014, and Staff Auditor from January 2010 to June 2011.

Before embarking on their finance and accounting career, Paul gained experience as a Waiter at Outlook Restaurant from 2007 to 2009. Throughout their career, Paul has worked with clients in various industries, such as technology, green-tech, manufacturing, distribution, and non-profit, as well as having experience with SEC client engagements and filings of publicly traded entities.

Paul McDermott, CPA, MBA attended the University of Massachusetts Lowell from 2011 to 2016, where they earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree. Prior to that, from 2007 to 2010, they completed their Bachelor's degree at the same institution, majoring in Accounting and Finance. Before their time at the University of Massachusetts Lowell, from 2005 to 2007, Paul studied Accounting at Westfield State University.
