Matthew Layne

Matthew Layne began their career in 2019 as a Marketing Intern at Chartio, where they created YouTube videos and wrote technical articles to increase PostgreSQL database efficiency. In 2020, they became a Software Intern/Co-op at L3Harris Technologies, where they wrote automated tests using C# for a waveform protocol, and obtained a Secret Clearance. In 2021, they continued as a Software Intern at L3Harris Technologies, writing and modifying unit tests and source code in a Scrum environment. In 2022, they moved into a role as an Intern at L3Harris Technologies, where they generated and updated customer facing technical documents. In 2023, they are currently working as a Software Engineer at Spectric Labs, developing the frontend user interface using Vue.js and backend implementations for a Low Probability of Detection (LPD) radio signals.

Matthew Layne attended Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University - College of Engineering from 2017 to 2022, where they earned a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science.
