Christopher S. Jones has over 30 years of experience in the scientific field. Christopher S. began their career in 1988 as a Scientist at Pfizer, where they worked on Synthetic Medicinal Chemistry teams in the areas of Inflammation, Immunology, Oncology, and Diabetes. During their time at Pfizer, they designed synthetic routes, synthesized, isolated, and characterized novel agents for biological evaluation, followed SAR trends, supervised summer interns, trained new associates, mentored/coached junior associates, and served on numerous committees. Christopher S. then moved on to become an Associate Scientist and Assistant Scientist at Pfizer.

In 1991, Christopher S. Jones began teaching Chemistry Lab sections for the University of New Haven's evening program at Grasso Technical High School in Groton, CT. Christopher S. prepared and executed lesson and demonstration plans, prepared laboratory materials, supervised experiments, graded lab work, lab reports, and laboratory quizzes.

In 2011, Christopher S. Jones became the Scientific Services Manager at Spectrix Analytical Services, LLC. Christopher S. led the Spectrix Teams at BMS in Cambridge, MA, including the Lead Discovery and Optimization (LDO) group, Compound Management, and the Single Compound Purification Group. Christopher S. also helped set up an automated 1 mm NMR tube process, participated in a lean 6 sigma Kaizen event, and implemented and managed dynamic scheduling for the purification lab.

Christopher S. Jones received their M.Sc. in Medicinal Chemistry from the University at Buffalo in 1988. Prior to that, they earned a B.Sc. in Biology and Chemistry from Roger Williams University in 1984. Christopher S. also attended Southington High School from 1977 to 1980, completing the College Prep Track. In addition, they hold certifications in Shimadzu Modular HPLC Training with PM from Shimadzu Scientific Instruments (obtained in September 2018) and Adult First Aid/CPR/AED from the American Red Cross (obtained in October 2021).
