Alan Rooney

Alan Rooney is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in network optimisation and telecommunications. Currently serving as Network Optimisation Manager and previously holding roles such as Program Director for Commercial Maritime and Director of Professional Services at Speedcast since January 2017, Alan focuses on providing specialist manpower services to the energy market. Prior experience includes key positions at Harris CapRock Communications, where Alan contributed as the Engineering Excellence lead for EMEA and managed global teleport operations, overseeing multiple teleports worldwide. Alan began a career in telecommunications at Schlumberger as Teleport Supervisor, managing operations and installations of satellite teleports. Alan holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Astronomy and Planetary Science from The Open University.
