Anastasis Gryponisiotis has a strong background in software engineering, particularly in the maritime communication industry. Anastasis started their career as an IT Technician at Microland Piraeus, providing support to both home and corporate customers. Anastasis then moved on to Altec SA as an External Support Engineer, where they focused on supporting corporate customers, including major banking institutions, insurance companies, and public sector entities.
In 2009, Gryponisiotis joined Setel Hellas S.A. as a Senior Systems Engineer, where they were involved in the implementation and deployment of integrated communication and IT infrastructure for the maritime industry. Anastasis also played a role in designing and developing customized ICT solutions.
Gryponisiotis then worked at SRH Marine Electronics S.A. as an R&D Engineer, where they focused on service and product design for maritime communication projects. Anastasis later joined SAIT COMMUNICATIONS Ltd. as a Senior Product Developer, where they continued their work in network architecture and design for maritime communication solutions.
Currently, Gryponisiotis is employed at Speedcast, where they have held various roles, including Vice President of Software Engineering, Director of Software Engineering, Senior Manager of Software Engineering, and Software Engineering Manager. In their current role, they are responsible for leading software engineering teams and overseeing the development of software solutions.
Throughout their career, Gryponisiotis has demonstrated expertise in network architecture and design, software development, and project management within the maritime communication industry.
Anastasis Gryponisiotis attended Northumbria University from 2000 to 2004, earning a BSc in Biomedical Sciences. In addition, they obtained certifications in AWS, including AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner and AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate, from Amazon Web Services in December 2021.
