Tracy (Meagher/Marciano) Murphy has a diverse and extensive work experience in the fashion industry. Tracy is currently serving as the Design Director for Women's Competitive & Training Swim at Speedo since 2021. Prior to this, Tracy worked at Perry Ellis International for over 20 years. During their time there, they held various roles including Senior Designer for Nike Swimwear, Original Penguin Swim, and Perry Ellis Swimwear. Tracy was responsible for leading and growing the women's and girls global swimwear categories, ensuring continuity within the brand, and collaborating closely with design teams. Tracy also worked as a Senior Designer for Tommy Hilfiger Swimwear, Designer for Jantzen and PL Swimwear, and Junior Swimwear Designer at Vanity Fair Brands Inc. Tracy started their career as an Assistant Designer at Splash and later worked as a Designer for Sam&Libby at Sam Edelman. Overall, Tracy's experience showcases their expertise in swimwear design, brand alignment, and collaboration with key stakeholders in the fashion industry.

Tracy (Meagher/Marciano) Murphy began their education in 1984 at San Diego State University, where they focused on Fine and Studio Arts. Tracy attended the university for two years, until 1986. Following their time at San Diego State, Tracy pursued their passion for Fashion/Apparel Design at the Otis Parsons School of Design. Tracy studied at the school from 1986 to 1990 and earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) degree in Fashion/Apparel Design.
