Jamika D. Burge

Jamika D. Burge, PhD, is an accomplished AI and cyber researcher and scholar currently serving as an AI/Cyber Researcher at Spelman College since August 2025. Burge is the CEO, Board President, and Co-Founder of blackcomputeHER, focusing on transforming computing and tech education for Black women and girls since January 2016. As the founder and principal of Design & Technology Concepts, LLC, Burge provides computer science education and technology consultation to various stakeholders. Prior experience includes senior roles at Capital One, leading research and insights strategy across multiple domains, and contributions to the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine as a committee member addressing the underrepresentation of women of color in tech. With a diverse background in tech research, education, and advocacy, Burge holds a PhD in Computer Science from Virginia Tech and a BS in Computer Science from Fisk University.
