Loren K. Robinson

Loren Robinson, M.D., continues a tradition of service, currently as VP of Medical Affairs at CHRISTUS Health. Dr. Robinson formerly served as Pennsylvania’s deputy secretary of Health Promotion and Disease Prevention where she focused on many aspects of health including lead poisoning, hepatitis and the Zika virus. In addition, Dr. Robinson has served as a mentor with the Philadelphia Futures mentoring program, and is an active member of the National Alumnae Association of Spelman College, previously as the Affinity Chair and currently as the Health and Wellness Chair. Her interest in population health has led her to work with the American Heart Association on both a national and local level to improve the health and well-being of the Spelman alumnae community.

In 2016, Dr. Robinson was named to the National Minority Quality Forum’s 40 under 40 Leaders in Minority Health, received the National Medical Association’s Rising Star Award and was elected to the College of Physicians of Philadelphia. She was also selected for LinkedIn’s “Next Wave: Game Changers 35 years old and younger in Healthcare.” In January 2017, she was featured in Essence Magazine as a “Top Doc” to watch. Dr. Robinson has received more than 30 awards, including the 2013 Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society, University of North Carolina chapter; the UNC School of Medicine Henry C. Fordham Teaching Award; the National Med-Peds Resident Association Howard Kubiner Award; and the 2012 National Medical Association’s Top 40 Under 40 award. She received a Doctor of Medicine from Duke University School of Medicine, a Master of Science in Health Policy Research from the University of Pennsylvania, and a Bachelor of Arts in French from Spelman College.

Dr. Robinson is a member of several professional organizations, including the National Medical Association, the College of the Physicians of Philadelphia, the Pennsylvania Medical Society and the National Physicians Alliance. She serves on the boards of The Food Trust, Project HOME Young Leaders Committee, the Multicultural Leadership Committee, the American Heart Association, Great Rivers Affiliate and the Philadelphia Medical Reserve Corps.
