Steve Bowser

Steve Bowser is the current Director of Public Safety at Spelman College. Steve has over 25 years of experience in the public safety field. Bowser began their career in January 1982 as a Jazz Program Producer/Announcer for WCLK 91.9fm. Steve produced weekly jazz radio programs and specials for broadcast, and conducted jazz educational programs for local institutions and organizations. In December 2007, they left WCLK to join New Focus Management Consulting. Steve then returned to Spelman College in 2011 to assume their current position.

Steve Bowser reports to Mary Schmidt Campbel, President. They are on a team with Jilo Tisdale - Director, Bonner Office of Civic Engagement, Jacqueline James - Director, Administrative Services, and Dawn Alston - CFO and VP for Business and Financial Affairs.
