Director Of The Spencer Teaching School Hub And Derby Research School at Spencer Academies Trust

Tammy Elward has a diverse range of work experience. Starting from 2005, they worked as a Service Consultant for Neon Contracts. In 2009, they transitioned into teaching and worked as an MFL, Citizenship, English, and Humanities Teacher at Windsor High School. Tammy then moved to Tiverton Primary School in 2010, where they worked as a Class Teacher and a member of the Senior Leadership Team. In 2016, they joined Wyndham Primary Academy as an Assistant Headteacher, leading various responsibilities such as assessment, training, and coaching. Tammy became the Director of the Derby Research School - Research Lead at Wyndham Primary Academy in 2017. Finally, in 2019, they joined Spencer Academies Trust as the Director of the Spencer Teaching School Hub and Derby Research School, and also as the Director of the Derby Research School and George Spencer Teaching School.

Tammy Elward's education history began at Amman Valley Comprehensive, where they completed their secondary education from 1993 to 2001. Tammy then pursued a Bachelor's degree in Modern and Medieval Languages with a focus on German and Russian at the University of Cambridge from 2001 to 2005. Following this, Tammy obtained a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) from the University of Birmingham, specializing in Secondary MFL Teaching, which they completed from 2007 to 2008. Tammy'seducational journey continued with a Master's degree in Education Innovation - Leadership and Management from the University of Warwick, where they studied from 2012 to 2016.
