Kostas Papadopoulos

Kostas Papadopoulos has over 20 years of experience in the IT industry. Kostas'smost recent position was as the Head of Data at Blockbonds AS, where they began in January 2022. Prior to that, they served as the Senior Data Architect at the same company from November 2020 to December 2021.

Before joining Blockbonds AS, Kostas worked at Microsoft as a Cloud Solution Architect - Data & AI - Financial Services from November 2018 to July 2020. Kostas was responsible for providing cloud solutions and architecture for the financial services industry.

Prior to their time at Microsoft, Kostas held the role of Data Architect at The Rank Group plc from September 2017 to November 2018. Here, they contributed to various digital transformation projects, utilizing the Microsoft Azure cloud platform and working on data strategy, governance, and regulatory compliance.

Earlier in their career, Kostas worked as a Data Architect and Technology Consultant at everis, where they participated in data-related projects, and as a Data Architect at Zilliant, responsible for EMEA and APAC projects. Kostas also worked as a Senior Database Developer at Epsilon and Centrix Software, where they specialized in database development, management, and performance tuning.

Kostas began their career as an IT Project Manager at Compucon and gained experience as an IT Professional at SimplexSys Information Technologies. Kostas also worked as an Analyst at Epsilon Net.

Throughout their career, Kostas has demonstrated expertise in data architecture, cloud solutions, database development, and data management.

Kostas Papadopoulos completed their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Computer and Information Sciences from Binghamton University, from 1989 to 1993. In addition to their formal education, Kostas has obtained several certifications in various fields. These certifications include "Learning Azure Storage for Developers" and "SQL Server 2016: Administer a Database Infrastructure" from LinkedIn, "Google Cloud Platform Fundamentals: Core Infrastructure" from Coursera, and various certifications from Microsoft such as "Microsoft Global Challenger," "Microsoft Certified: Dynamics 365 Fundamentals," "Microsoft 365 Certified Fundamentals," "Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Scientist Associate," "Microsoft Certified: Azure AI Engineer Associate," and "Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals." Kostas has also obtained certifications in areas such as blockchain basics, machine learning, and data science.
