Martin Diener has a diverse work experience spanning over several decades. Martin began their career as a Financial Analyst at R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Intl. in 1985, where they were responsible for financial business analysis for various regions. Martin then joined Philip Morris International in 1987, where they excelled at creating and improving the Regional Management Report. In 1990, they transitioned to Nokia, where they held various positions across different locations and managed up to eight reports. During their time at Nokia, Martin was involved in diverse projects, such as the implementation of balanced scorecards, process development, and SAP implementation. Martin also played a crucial role in divesting the local Consumer Electronics operation and setting up the local Nokia Networks F&A operation. In 2001, Martin joined Orange as a Controlling Team Leader, where they were responsible for planning, analysis, and recommendations related to costs in various departments. Martin achieved a significant annual commission reduction of MCHF 11. Martin then moved to The Phone House in 2006 as the Finance Director before joining Losinger-Marazzi in 2007 as the Head of Finance & Accounting. Martin spent three years in this role before joining Speno International SA in 2010 as the Group CFO. Martin's early work experience includes serving as an Army Staff Officer in the Swiss Army from 1982 to 2003. Overall, Martin Diener has extensive experience in financial analysis, management reporting, strategic planning, and process development.

Martin Diener attended the Zurich Business School from 1976 to 1979, where they obtained their CFC degree in Economics.
