Brent Houston

Design Director at Sperasoft

Brent Houston has a diverse work experience spanning over several industries. Brent began their career in 1990 as an Aviator and Warrant Officer in the US Army, serving until 1992. From 1994 to 1996, Brent worked as a pilot at Professional Flight Crew Services. In 1996, they joined Fractal Design as an Artist in their Creative Services department until 1998. Brent then worked as a Contract Artist at Osiris Studios from 1998 to 1999.

Brent's career in the gaming industry started in 1999 at NovaLogic, where they served as an Artist and later became the Director of Design. Brent worked on several successful projects, including Delta Force Black Hawk Down, Joint Operations Typhoon Rising, and Escalation. Brent's tenure at NovaLogic lasted until 2012.

In 2010, Brent joined Syyn Labs as a Designer, Artist, and Pilot. Brent contributed their skills until 2016 when they transitioned to Sperasoft. At Sperasoft, Brent held the position of Lead Level Designer from 2016 to 2022. Brent then took on the role of Maps Director from October 2018 onward.

In addition to their extensive gaming experience, Brent has also pursued their passion for design, art, and photography. Since 1989, they have been running their own design company called Brent Houston Design. Their work has encompassed various areas such as game design, graphic design, illustration, UI/UEX design, 3D prototyping, industrial design, and photography. Brent has collaborated with notable clients including Red Bull Media, Ford, Chevy, Toyota, Warner Brothers, Google, and NBC, among others. Brent's work has been featured in commercials and events, including a Chevy 2012 Superbowl commercial.

Brent Houston's education history begins in 1990 when they attended the US Army Aviation School. Brent completed their studies there in 1991, but no degree was mentioned for this particular program. In 1992, Houston enrolled at the Florida Institute of Technology, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Aviation Management and Flight Technology. Brent successfully completed their undergraduate studies in 1996.
