John Sparks

John Sparks is an accomplished visual effects professional with extensive experience in the VFX industry. Currently serving as a Senior FX Artist at Sphere Entertainment Co. since August 2023, John has held prominent positions such as FX Supervisor at Scanline VFX and The Mill, and CG FX Supervisor at Double Negative. With a career spanning over a decade, John has contributed to high-profile projects, including the creation of intricate fire effects for "The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug" at Weta Digital, and leading FX efforts for "Prometheus" at Moving Picture Company. John holds a B.S. in Digital Arts & Sciences from the University of Florida and an M.F.A. in Visual Effects from the Savannah College of Art and Design.
