Michael Magbiti

Backend Software Engineer at Sphere Partners

Michael Magbiti has a diverse background in software engineering. Michael started their career as a Java developer at Itibo, where they worked on developing new modules for Centric CRM and optimizing database structures. Michael also implemented a customer synchronization mechanism with AS400.

After that, Michael joined Azati Corporation as a Java developer, where they focused on Java development.

Michael then moved on to Smart Vision, where they worked as a Senior Software Developer. During their time there, they played a key role in developing a docflow system based on Alfresco and architecting and developing cross-platform p2p network engine, servers, and clients. Michael also managed a development team and was responsible for specifying, designing, coding, and testing programs. Additionally, they worked on developing an engine for auctions, managing SIP-servers, extending XMPP protocol, and developing plugins for OpenFire server.

Following their experience at Smart Vision, Michael joined tispr as a Backend Software Engineer. Michael spent four years in this role, working on backend development.

Michael then became self-employed and focused on backend development. During this time, they worked alone to develop a completely new API for a bike/scooter sharing platform. Michael also set up infrastructure in clouds, such as AWS and Digital Ocean, and configured CI/CD pipelines.

Most recently, Michael joined Sphere Partners as a Backend Software Engineer. Their role involves working with NodeJs and AWS to develop serverless applications using CloudFormation and RDS.

Throughout their career, Michael has worked with various technologies and frameworks including Java, Spring, RabbitMQ, Alfresco, OpenFire, REST, Intellij Idea, Jenkins, Android, C#, Wpf, RTP, Freeswitch, OpenSIP, Git, Ubuntu, Debian, JSP, Struts, CSS, HTML, JavaScript, Oracle, Pl/Sql, Ant, Tomcat, and JUnit.

Michael Magbiti earned a Bachelor's degree in Computer Software Engineering from Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno. Michael attended the university from 2004 to 2009. In November 2012, they also obtained a certification in Functional Programming Principles in Scala from Coursera.
