Giorgos Karantonis

Giorgos Karantonis is a Senior Artificial Intelligence Engineer at SphereOI Studios since January 2021, previously holding the position of Artificial Intelligence Engineer. Giorgos gained experience as an Artificial Intelligence Software Engineer Intern at Red Hat, contributing to the AI Center of Excellence and developing an innovative open-source multi-label classifier that significantly outperformed existing approaches. As a Deep Learning Graduate Student Researcher at Boston University, Giorgos invented enhanced versions of PuppetGAN and AdvGAN, focusing on cross-domain feature manipulation and adversarial attacks, respectively, both of which are in preparation for submission to ICCV 2021 workshops. Additionally, Giorgos designed an end-to-end AI system for sentiment analysis on media related to the mayor of Boston. Giorgos holds a Master of Science in Artificial Intelligence from Boston University and two degrees in Computer Engineering & Informatics from the University of Patras.
