Matthew Jones, PMP

Matthew Jones, PMP has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Matthew started their career as a Pollution Prevention Intern at the Iowa Department of Natural Resources, where they successfully reduced the facility's overall pollution output and proposed cost-saving measures. Matthew then moved on to the International Paper Company as a MAP Engineer, leading significant projects such as a printing upgrade and site security implementation. At Evergreen Packaging, Matthew served as an Operations Manager and a Sealing Department Manager, implementing process improvements, training employees, and reducing production waste. As a Logistics Manager at MakerBot®, they effectively scaled warehousing capacity and coordinated the relocation of raw materials and procedures to China. Matthew also worked as a Logistics Consultant at littleBits and held multiple roles at Malnove Holding Company Inc., including Manager, Finishing and Shipping Manager, Finishing Manager, and Supervisor. Currently, they are working as a Site Manager at Sphero.

Matthew Jones, PMP, obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Industrial Technology with a minor in Sociology from Iowa State University, where they studied from 2000 to 2004. In addition to their formal education, they have also earned various certifications. These include the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute, obtained in December 2016. Matthew also holds certifications such as the OSHA 30-Hour - General Industry certification from the National Safety Council, obtained in September 2017, and the IVES Certified Powered Industrial Truck Trainer certification from the IVES Training Group, obtained in September 2018. Furthermore, they are certified in NSC CPR/AED and NSC First Aid through the National Safety Council, both obtained in August 2017.
