Emily Nguyen

Emily Nguyen is a dedicated educator with extensive experience in language arts and math instruction across various educational settings. Currently serving as a Language Arts Teacher at SpiderSmart Learning Center since June 2022, Emily employs an asset-based approach to support upper elementary and middle school students in essay writing. Previous roles include teacher candidate positions at Centralia Elementary School District and Newport Mesa Unified School District, where Emily implemented student-centered math lessons and provided differentiated instruction for Spanish-speaking newcomers. Earlier experience includes a teaching assistant role at UCLA BruinCorps, an assistant center director role at Mathnasium, and teaching positions at Be Sharp Academy and Kumon North America, Inc. Emily holds a Master’s degree in Elementary Education from UC Irvine and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Education from UCLA.
