John Allevato

John Allevato is an experienced legal professional with a focus on federal taxation, estate planning, corporate law, health care law, and public finance. Since 1997, John has served as Of Counsel at Spilman Thomas & Battle, PLLC, where John co-chairs the Federal Taxation and Wills, Estates & Trusts Practice Groups. In addition to active practice, John has contributed to legal education as an adjunct lecturer at West Virginia University College of Law and has taught at Capital University Law School and its Graduate Tax Program. John earned a Doctor of Law (J.D.) from Washington and Lee University School of Law and a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Business with an emphasis in Accounting from West Virginia Wesleyan College.
