Nicholas S. Preservati

Nicholas S. Preservati currently serves as the Director at the West Virginia Office of Energy and the Executive Director of the West Virginia Public Energy Authority, both since July 2023. In addition to these roles, Nicholas is a member of the Forbes Business Council and co-chairs the Energy Practice Group at Spilman Thomas & Battle, PLLC, a regional law firm. Previous positions include Vice-Chair at the West Virginia Public Energy Authority and Editor for the American Bar Association's Environment & Energy Litigation Section. Nicholas has also led the Energy Group for North America at World Services Group and served as Chair of the Energy Group at Lex Mundi. With a background in law and energy policy, Nicholas holds a Juris Doctorate from Loyola University Chicago and a Master of Science in Energy Policy & Climate from The Johns Hopkins University, along with a Bachelor's degree from the University of Notre Dame.
