Debbie Samuels

Debbie Samuels has a strong background in data science and analytics. Debbie has held various leadership positions at SPINS, starting in 2018 as Vice President of Data Science and advancing to Vice President of Data Science and Program Management in 2019, Vice President of Data Science and Operations in 2020, and currently as Vice President of Data Governance and Operations since 2021. Prior to their time at SPINS, Samuels served as a Senior Director of Advanced Analytics & Services at SPINS from 2015 to 2017. Debbie also worked at Infosys as a Senior Principal, where they guided clients through information transformations and managed engagements and business development in the retail and consumer packaged goods industries. Samuels has prior experience at IRI, Inc., serving as a Vice President and Senior Vice President, where they managed teams and budgets and oversaw various analytics and consulting groups. Debbie also served as an Advisory Board Member at Compellon, Inc., where they contributed to the development of predictive analytics technology. Overall, Samuels has extensive experience in data science, analytics, and management consulting in the retail and consumer packaged goods industries.

Debbie Samuels holds a Master's degree in Marketing and Management Information Systems, which they obtained from the MIT Sloan School of Management from 1981 to 1983. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics and Economics from Claremont McKenna College, where they studied from 1977 to 1981.
