Kathy Farinas

Kathy Farinas is a highly accomplished Principal Scientist at Spiral Therapeutics since January 2021, where responsibilities include drug formulation for innovative therapies aimed at hearing restoration. Before this role, Kathy founded K Farinas Consulting, LLC, focusing on the R&D of new drug delivery products. Previous experience includes a Senior Scientist role in Clinical Pharmacology and Drug Delivery at Genentech, where Kathy served as a Subject Matter Expert for the Port Delivery System. Notable achievements at ForSight VISION4 included contributing to the Ranibizumab Port Delivery System's first-in-human clinical study that resulted in the approved product Susvimo. Kathy's career also encompasses leadership roles at ALZA Corporation and Inhale Therapeutic Systems, along with extensive entrepreneurial experience in ophthalmic drug delivery. Kathy holds a PhD in Chemical Engineering from Stanford University and a BS in Chemical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
