Surabhi Guruprasad

Surabhi Guruprasad, Ph.D., is a seasoned FPGA engineer with extensive experience in GNSS payload development, currently serving as a Senior FPGA Engineer at Spire since November 2022. Prior experience includes a role as an Electrical Engineer at MDA from October 2019 to November 2022, focusing on digital design for space devices. As a PhD candidate at York University's Lassonde School of Engineering from January 2015 to October 2022, Surabhi specialized in GNSS research, developing a software GNSS receiver and custom hardware for real-time GPS signal capture, while currently researching weak signal processing techniques. Surabhi's early career included roles as a Research Assistant and Teaching Assistant at York University, as well as an FPGA Digital Design Engineer at Kepler Communications Inc., showcasing a robust background in digital design and educational support. Educational qualifications include a Ph.D. in Earth and Space Science and Engineering from York University.
