Gert Brits

Gert Brits has over 20 years of experience in the telecommunications industry. Gert started their career as a Development Engineer at Tellumat in 2000 and worked there until 2005. Gert then joined Harris-Stratex Networks as a Technical Support Manager, where they worked until 2010. From 2010 to 2014, Gert was a Systems Engineering Manager at Aviat Networks. Currently, they are employed at Spirent Communications, where they have held various roles since 2014, including Director of Systems Engineering and, more recently, Vice President of Sales Engineering & Field Support.

Gert Brits received a Masters Degree in Electrical Engineering with a specialization in RF Engineering from Cape Peninsula University of Technology. Additionally, they obtained certifications in Performance Leadership and Executive Leadership from Cornell University in 2021. In 2017, they received certifications in Strategy Formulation and Strategic Management from Copenhagen Business School, and in 2014, they completed a certification in Software Defined Networking from Georgia Institute of Technology.
