Rick Ochs

President, CEO at Spirit Aeronautics

Rick Ochs has extensive work experience in the aviation industry. Rick started as a flight deck avionics troubleshooter in the US Navy from 1984 to 1988. After that, they worked as the Avionics Department Manager at Southern Air Transport from 1995 to 1998, where they managed a team of technicians and provided technical support for various aircraft. In 2000, they founded Spirit Avionics Ltd. and served as the Owner and CEO. Rick also led the division, Spirit Aeronautics, which was part of Spirit Avionics.

Rick Ochs has a diverse education history in the field of aviation and electronics. Rick attended various aviation and avionics technical schools for a duration of 1.5 years to receive training in avionics maintenance technology/technician. In 1985 to 1987, they completed avionics technician class "A" school certificate at the US Navy avionics schools in Millington, TN and Coronado, Calif.

In addition to their military education, Rick also pursued education in electronics at Columbus State Community College from 1989 to 1991. Rick obtained a general radiotelephone operator license from the Federal Communications Commission in December 1991.

Furthermore, in 1981 to 1983, they completed a two-year vocational technology training program in communications electronics at Northeast Career Center.

Rick Ochs has also acquired several additional certifications, including an Aircraft Electronics Technician (AET) certification from SpaceTec Partners obtained in July 2006, a private aircraft pilot certificate from the Federal Aviation Administration obtained in August 2005, and an airframe mechanic certification from the Federal Aviation Administration obtained in July 1995.
