Tony Yates

Tony Yates is an experienced professional in pipeline engineering and operation, currently serving as the Pipelines and Risers Technical Authority at Spirit Energy since September 2021, managing pipelines in various regions including the Eastern Irish Sea and Netherlands. Previously, Tony held the position of Pipeline Technical Authority at TAQA Bratani Ltd., overseeing around 30 subsea pipelines, and served as a Senior Pipeline Engineer at Canadian Natural Resources International and WGIM. Tony’s career includes significant contributions as the Principal Integrity Engineer and Pipeline Team Leader at Chevron Angola, leading extensive intelligent pigging projects, along with roles at CNR International and Penspen. Academic qualifications include a BSc in Mathematics, Cosmology, and Materials Science from Open University, and a GradIM in Metallurgy and Mechanical Engineering from the University of Wolverhampton.
