Innes Miller has a diverse work experience spanning several roles and companies. Starting in 1997, they worked as a Business Development Manager at Worldmark International, where they established a manufacturing site in Hungary and acquired new customers across various countries in Eastern Europe. In 2000, they joined Morse as an Account Manager. Innes then worked at Spektra as a Client Manager, focusing on new business development in the life and pensions and IFA sectors. In 2002, they founded Cydonia, a consultancy and corporate finance firm specializing in the UK retail savings and investment market. As a Founder and Director, Innes served clients including life and pensions providers, fund management groups, and wealth managers. In 2008, they joined Ernst & Young as an Account Director, managing life and pensions clients in Scotland and advising firms on regulatory and economic impacts. Innes later became the Business Development Leader for financial services in Central, Southern, and Eastern Europe, implementing global account management strategies. In 2012, Innes moved to Standard Life as Head of Business Consultancy and later became the Head of Business Services, leading teams responsible for delivering support services and determining the company's position in the advice market. In 2015, they established Scydonia Limited, a consultancy focused on retail savings and investments, and provided support to clients such as Old Mutual Wealth and Capita. In 2019, Innes co-founded spktral, where they developed cloud-based technology to help organizations simplify pay gap reporting and provided employee analytics and consulting. In 2020, they also started Cabins in the City Limited, a company recognized for its design achievements. In their current role at Capco since 2021, Innes serves as the Innovation & Design Lead for insurance, life and pensions, and wealth management, supporting clients in identifying growth opportunities through innovation and addressing regulatory requirements.

Innes Miller completed their B.Sc in Production Management at Heriot-Watt University from 1989 to 1993. This program covered topics such as manufacturing, product development, marketing, and financial management. Later, from 1993 to 1994, they pursued an M.Sc in International Marketing at the University of Strathclyde. This degree focused on strategic marketing, market entry and development, international business, and economics. During the same period, Innes Miller also obtained a Fellowship from The Chartered Institute of Marketing, specializing in Marketing.
