Laura Hoek

Laura Hoek has extensive experience in HR, talent recruitment, and employee engagement. Laura is currently the Head of Talent EMEA at Splashtop Inc., where they focus on hiring top talent, maximizing employee potential, fostering engagement, and spreading the company culture through social media platforms. Prior to that, they worked as the Head of People at OK IT, where they were responsible for HR, recruitment, talent development, employee engagement, onboarding, and culture. Laura also worked as an EMEA Graduate Recruitment Consultant at Oracle, a Recruitment Consultant/Headhunter at People4Office, and an IT Recruiter and Corporate Recruiter at Shell and T-Mobile respectively. Laura has experience in coordinating and implementing sales training programs and managing the recruitment process for various departments. Laura started their career as a Junior Psychologist and Sociotherapist at Symfora, where they provided group therapy to patients with personality disorders. Laura also took a break to travel in 2010.

Laura Hoek completed their education at the University of Amsterdam, where they earned a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Psychology. Laura attended the university from 2002 to 2008. Prior to that, they studied at Hervormd Lyceum Zuid from 1996 to 2002, where they obtained a VWO degree. Additionally, Laura obtained certifications in Employee Experience from LinkedIn in July 2020 and in Basis Aantekening Psychodiagnostiek from the Nederlands Instituut van Psychologen (NIP) in September 2008.
