Richard Kerr, PhD, MBA, CMP, MB(ASCP), has an extensive work experience in various leadership roles. Richard currently serves as the Chief Artificial Intelligence Officer at SPODIO, where they have architected and built prototypes for multiple platform data products, leading to significant cost reductions and automation through AI. Prior to this, Richard was the Chief Technology Officer at Quuery, where they patented a cognitive ML algorithm that greatly improved customer engagement and purchase intent. Richard also worked at PepsiCo as the Lead/Director of Data Science, contributing to billions of dollars in value creation through ML products and strategic planning. Richard's experience includes being the Chief Data Scientist & Laboratory Manager at Daisy Farms, where they achieved significant cost reductions and improved treatment effectiveness through ML embedded testing. Richard also served as the Chief Data Scientist at The Biolyon Group and Regional Laboratory Manager II at IDEXX Laboratories, where they implemented various improvements and financial forecasting models. Additionally, Richard worked as a Laboratory Manager and Program Assistant at the University of Georgia, conducting research and predicting biological effects based on analysis of protein interaction maps. Their earlier experience includes being a Laboratory Supervisor at Virginia Tech, where they developed analytics pipelines and reduced testing costs through the development of rapid detection assays and high-pressure processing methods.

Richard Kerr, PhD, MBA, CMP, MB(ASCP) completed their education in a variety of fields and institutions. Richard obtained an Advanced Studies Diploma in General Studies from Hickory High School in 1999. Richard then attended Virginia Tech from 2000 to 2004, where they earned two Bachelor of Science degrees, one in Biology and the other in Psychology.

After completing their undergraduate studies, Richard pursued post-graduate education at the Virginia-Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine from 2005 to 2008. Richard specialized in Immunology and Toxicology during this time. In 2008, they obtained certifications in Managing Laboratory Safety from the Department of Environmental Health and Safety Services at Virginia Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine, as well as Hazardous Waste Disposal from the College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Georgia.

Richard continued their academic journey by obtaining a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree from The University of Georgia from 2010 to 2012. Their PhD focused on Molecular Pathology and Biostatistics. Additionally, in 2010, they obtained a certification in Certified Management Professional (CMP) from the Certified Management Professional Institute.

In 2018, Richard enrolled at The Wharton School and completed a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in the fields of Business Analytics, Finance, and Marketing.

Furthermore, in February 2018, they received a certification in Molecular Biology from the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP). In February 2009, they obtained a certification in Radiology and Radiation Safety from the Department of Anatomy and Radiology, College of Veterinary Medicine, University of Georgia, Athens, GA.
