Thomas Sandvall is an experienced finance professional with a diverse background in investment banking and academia. As a Partner at Sponsor Capital since December 2014, Thomas has contributed to various investment initiatives. Prior to this role, Thomas co-founded HLP Corporate Finance Oy in December 2001, serving as a Founding Partner until August 2014. Academic experience includes a position as Assistant Professor at Hanken School of Economics, where Thomas focused on Finance and completed a doctoral thesis on mutual fund performance evaluation. Earlier career experience includes work as an Analyst at Goldman Sachs International, specializing in M&A and capital market transactions in the Nordic region. Thomas holds a Ph.D. in Finance from the Swedish School of Economics and Business Administration.
