Mark Pain

Mark Pain is a seasoned professional in community sport management with a diverse background in various roles across notable organizations. Currently serving as the Community Sport Manager at Sport Aberdeen since January 2023, Mark previously held the position of Regional Development Manager (North) at Scottish Hockey from January 2019 to January 2023. Prior experience includes positions at Aberdeen City Council, where Mark managed the Duke of Edinburgh & Wider Achievement program, served as the Wider Achievement Manager for Adventure Aberdeen, and developed Community Sports Hubs from October 2013 to January 2019. Earlier in Mark's career, from September 2005 to October 2013, a role as Lead Active Schools Co-ordinator at Sport Aberdeen was undertaken. In terms of education, Mark holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Electronic Information Management from Robert Gordon University and a Master of Arts in Geography and Management Studies from the University of Aberdeen.
